Mrs. Tuck was a native of Person County, wife of 39 years to the late Howard R. Tuck and daughter of the late Willis Johnson and Lena Seate Stigall.
She was retired from Burlington Industries and was the oldest living member of High View Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol T. Kidd and husband, Bill of Sunset Beach, S.C., and Dana T. Mills of Richmond, Va.; a son, Tony H. Tuck of Roxboro; two sisters, Cordelia S. Morris of Roxboro, and Martha "Tuny" Rice of Virgilina, Va.; three granddaughters, Kim Clayton, Janet Tuck and Tara Underwood and husband, Jeff; and three great-grandchildren, C.J. Albright, Nicholas Underwood and Breanna Shotwell. Also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tuck is preceded in death by four sisters, Texie Humphries, Dorothy Glasscock, McRee Hite and Mildred Stigall, and three brothers, Caleb, Bill and Curtis Stigall.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, at High View Baptist Church by the Rev. Avery Dalton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home and other times at the home
Pallbearers will be Randy Glasscock, Bruce Humphries, Dalton Morris, Lacy Morris, Norman Parker, Doyle Rice, Clay Stigall and Timmie Tuck. C.J. Albright and Nicholas Underwood will serve as honorary pallbearers.
