Robert Oscar "Bob" Mumper, 71, died at 9:59 a.m. March 9, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center,
He was born Nov. 11, 1941, in Baltimore to Fred and Alyce Nelsena Skiles Mumper, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Mumper was a graduate of Dundalk High School, Dundalk, Md., and John Hopkins University. He worked in drafting, cost accounting, information systems and management at Westinghouse Electric Corp., and was retired from Sundstrand Electric Co. After retirement he also worked for Palmer-Donavin Manufacturing, Jesse Reese & Son Calvin Construction, and Tom Ahl Chrysler Dodge.

Bob was a kind, giving, intelligent and caring man whose life was characterized and shaped by a deep faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. He gave of himself and his resources without asking anything in return, people no one else would turn to help, he did. Bob will be remembered as a great encourager, a caring and careful mentor, and the best listener. Those who knew him will never forget his mischievous smile and dry humor. He loved animals, especially cats, and had seven feline friends who were his constant companions.

He is survived by seven children and 12 grandchildren, Beth (Greg) Moore, of Bluffton; Meg (Garry) Sammet, of McComb, and their children Rachael (Joel) Spitsnaugle, of Kettering, Renee (Jon) Lucas of Columbus, Ryan, Reilly and Reese Sammet of McComb; Randi (Todd) Pugsley and their children Morgan and Ellison Pugsley, all of Bluffton; Jodi Owen and her children, Ilene and Georgia Owen, all of Grove City; Brook (Tracey) Harris and their children, Veronica and Presley Nelson and Gabrielle Harris, all of Bluffton; Cameron Mumper, of Walbridge; and Greer (Abby Young) Mumper, of Lima. He was formerly married to Jacquelyn Mountan Hallahan of Youngstown, and Deb Mumper of Lima, and they survive. Additional survivors include an aunt, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and the many friends to whom he was a mentor, dad or brother.
