Miss Karr Is Bride Of Kenneth Profit
Miss Fern Karr, daughter of Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Karr, of Cass City, and Mr. Kenneth Profit, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Profit, of Yale, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents at noon on Saturday, October 22.
To the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding March, the bridal party descended the stairs to the living room which was decorated with baskets of chrysanthemums, condalus and ferns. Rev. Wesley Dafoe, pastor of the Methodist Church in Gagetown, performed the ceremony.
The bride was dressed in a street length dress of teal blue with wine accessories-a corsage of white snapdragons and baby mums. The bride's two brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Karr and Mr. and Mrs. Preston Karr, were the attendants. Mrs. Orville Karr was dressed in a wine dress with lace bodice and matching accessories and Mrs. Preston Karr wore a dress of royal blue and matching accessories. Both wore corsages of pink snapdragons and baby mums. The tiny ringbearer, Miss Jane Karr, wore a navy dress and matching accessories and a corsage of white chrysanthemums.
After the ceremony, a three-course dinner was served to the bridal party.
Following the dinner, the bridal party motored to Cass City in a decorated car to have their pictures taken. Returning from Cass City, Mr. and Mrs. Profit left for a short trip in northern Michigan. The bride wore a navy blue suit with wine excessories. On their return, they will reside with the bride's parents for the present.
The guests, 19 in all, included Mr. and Mrs. Richard Karr, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Karr and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Karr and Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dafoe, Mr. and Mrs. James Profit, Mr. and Mrs. Clare Profit and Mrs. Glen Profit of Cass City, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williams of Harbor Beach and Mrs. Sam Kirk of Pontiac.
