HANDWERG, Constance, 88, of Spring Hill, (Timber Pines), passed away on April 14, 2013. Connie was a member of a military family. Her mother was raised and buried at West Point. Her cousin was a general. Connie was born in Newburg, NY. She became a well regarded executive assistant with experience in advertising, law, and public utilities. In retirement, she was interested in art, entertainment, and painting. She participated in a number of local shows as a singer and dancer. While living in New Jersey, she became a finalist in the New Jersey Senior Mrs. America Contest. In Florida, she was known as a stylish dresser and loyal and loving family member. She will be missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, John, and loving family. Gathering will be on Wednesday, April 24 from 12:30-1:30 pm with a service to commence at 1 pm, 4450 US 19. She will then be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
