A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1948, Louise taught school in rural Wapello and Davis Counties.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, quilting, and spending time with her family and grandkids.
Surviving are three sons, James William Coon of Silverdale, Washington, Lloyd Marvin Coon and Charles Glen Coon of Orem, Utah; 4 grandchildren, Eric, Angela, Tina and Crystal Coon; 4 great-grandchildren, Elyssa, Brandon, Sully and Skyler, and a great-great grandson on the way; two sisters, Florence Lampson of Augusta, Kansas and Addie Kay Giltner; and brother, Harold James of Ottumwa Iowa
She was preceded in death by a son, George Pete Coon and brother, Vinton James.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 11:00 am in the 4th ward chapel, 2160 South 140 West Orem, Utah. Viewing will be prior to service from 9:45 – 10:45 am. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.walkersanderson.com
Louise will be returning home to Ottumwa Iowa for services in the LDS chapel 301 West Rochester Street Saturday April 27th , internment will be in the Friends Cemetery in Richland Iowa.
