Wallingford – Services for Jesse Anderson, 84, of Wallingford will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Jack Torgersen officiating. Interment will be in High Lake Cemetery, rural Wallingford. He died Monday, Dec. 4, 1995 at Knapp Medical Center, Weslaco, Texas.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

He was born July 13, 1911 in Emmet County, Iowa the son of Olen and Carrie Anderson. He attended school at High Lake. On Jan. 2, 1934 he married Vera Lundgren at Emmetsburg. He ran his own dairy in Graettinger several years and worked in creameries in N.W. Iowa. He worked as a carpenter for Mitchell Construction until retiring. Following retirement he lived on High Lake. He was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church, a City council member several years and a member of the Sons of Norway.

Survivors include sons: Duane "Dewey" and Maurice "Moe" of Wallingford; Bruce of Estes Park, Colo.; daughters: Mrs. Ralph (Donna) Wilhelms, Castroville, Texas; Mrs. Donald (Marvus) Krough, Nevada; Linda Anderson, Yuba City, Calif. and Judy Anderson of Sacramento; 14 grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers: Wesley of Wallingford, Harvey of Spencer and Dr. George "Emmet" of Santa Cruz.

He was preceded in death by his wife Vera, Jan. 16, 1968; his parents; three sisters; one daughter-in-law. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 6, 1995)
