BATES—Funeral services for Mrs. Lucia Bates, 82, of 13 Wilson Place, who died Monday, August 8, 1960, were held at 11 A.M., Thursday in Powers Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Perry, pastor of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington. Bearers, all present or former members of the Letter Carriers Association, were Floyd Asper Howard Beebe, Gerald Gustafson, Orville Holm, Ernest Holmberg and Lee Owens. A delegation from the Princess Rebekah Lodge, the Letter Carriers Association and the Letter Carriers Auxiliary attended the service. The Princess Rebekah Lodge conducted a memorial service in the funeral home at 8 P.M. Wednesday. Mrs. Gertrude Gaynor, noble grand, Mrs. Lulu Hazlett, vice grand, and Mrs. Ann Parker, chaplain, were in charge.
