William Q. Morton was a gospel preacher. He wrote an article in the Bible Advocate in 1842. He married Elizabeth M. Venable (1795-1863) on Sept. 3, 1811 at Mulberry, Shelby County, KY. The couple had nine children: daughters Agnes, Elizabeth and Selina; and sons William, Quinn, Charles, baby, Francis and Henry.
