He grew up near Hope, Arkansas and was graduated from the School of Pharmacy, University of Tennessee. He went into the drug business shortly after his graduation.
Minor married Birdie Mae Davis 1888-1965 in 1911 in Arkansas. They had children Mary Jane 1917-2016, Minor Lee 1921-2022 and Bertie "Betty" 1927-2012.
The family lived in Memphis, Tennessee where he was employed for some time by the Washburn-Lyle drug firm. For 15 years Minor owned and operated Bullock's Pharmacy at Madison and Belvedere, having previously operated a drug store on Florida street.
Minor died from a heart attack at 57. He was shoveling snow from his front sidewalk, walked Into his house and collapsed across a bed, and died shortly afterward. He had suffered a heart attack in the previous summer but had since been in good health.
His favorite pastime was duck hunting. He made many duck hunting trips with local physicians. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
Minor was survived by his wife, Birdie Mae; three daughters, Mrs. Mary (J. B.) Price, Mrs. Minor (David H.) Bowlin and Miss Bertie "Betty" Bullock, all of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Fore, Emmet, Ark., Mrs. Betty Harris, Benton, Ark., and Mrs. Cora Lane, Fort Worth; two brothers, Dr. Arthur Bullock, Brownwood, Texas and Herbert Bullock, Prescott, Arkansas.
