He was born July 20, 1935 to the late Adrian B. and Mary Reed Sparks.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Marie Sparks; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sparks; and son, William Leonard Sparks.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Paul Sparks, Rowlett, John Sparks Jr., Longview, Andrew A. and Sue Sparks, Winnsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Kari Sparks and Carlos Marquez, Forney, Debra K. Sparks and Gene Barrington, Grapevine, Vicki Sparks, Houston, and Sarah Sparks, Winnsboro; sister, Anna Sparks Fitzsimmons, IN; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
