She was born December 18, 1923, to the late Marvin & Rachel Haynes Poole of Newport.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Miller; her second husband, Carl Born; two sisters, Victoria Riley and Lillie Mae Poole.
She is survived by four brothers, Billy Joe Poole, Fresno, California, Marvin Poole, Jr., Jonesboro, James Poole, Poughkeepsie, Virginia, David Poole, Little Rock; four sisters, Louise Keaster, Strong, Arkansas, Peggy Bradley and Loretta Gregory, both of Newport, Shirley King, Winter Garden, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
One of her favorite pastimes was bowling with her senior friends. She was of the Christian faith and loved her church and Sunday school class.
Graveside services were held at Arnold Cemetery in Swifton. Emerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
