Loved Priest Passes Away
Father O'Donnell, pastor of the Catholic Church at Gold Hill for the past thirty years, died yesterday. During his long service to the people and to the church he made a large circle of friends who will regret to learn of his death. The deceased came to Nevada from California and established the first Catholic church in Reno. He then took the Gold Hill church and has remained the Father of this section for many years. The funeral will be held in this city next Tuesday, the remains being brought her Monday evening.

Funeral Held in This City
The funeral of the late Father O'Donnell of Gold Hill took place in this city this morning. A number of friends came from the Comstock and Gold Hill to pay their tribute to the departed church man. A number of priest from nearby sections came in on the morning train, while the Catholic church was filled with those who attended those services. The burial service being held in this city was occasioned from the fact that a plot had been set aside for such purposes in the Catholic cemetery near this city. It was one of the most impressive services held in Carson in many years.
