Elizabeth was born to William Williams and Mary Williams (nee Lawry) in October 1817. Her paternal family were Miners of Welsh descent. According to my research her paternal grandfather was born in Glamorgan and moved to Gwennap, Cornwall and married her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Morcombe (b.1752), and through her, she descends from the Borlase family and Sir John Arundell (1527-1590) and his wife Lady Ann Stanley (1531-1602), daughter of the 3rd Earl of Derby. She had roughly 7 siblings. Her maternal grandmother was of part Iberian descent.

She married William Plummer (1819-1890), a miner, mine manager and later Commissioner of Indian Affairs in Canada in 1841. Together they had 11 children, 9 sons and 2 daughters. Their youngest son was my great-great grandfather. Elizabeth was in her 47th year when her son Frank was born.

She died on the 19th March 1884 aged 66. Her husband died 6 years later after suffering a stroke on the steamer "Orinoco".

Elizabeth is my 3x great grandmother.
