Jo Minton Dukes

Jo Minton Dukes, age 76, of Maryville, formerly of Halls, died peacefully at home at 2:15 a.m. April 22, 2013, and is now in the arms of Jesus. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville for over 45 years. Many of her friends came to know her as Jo-Su, after owning the Jo-Su Shoppe for several years. Most recently she enjoyed working at Coach Leather for the past 15 years.

She was preceded in death by parents, Beryl and Paul Minton, and sister, Doris.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John Dukes; daughters, Anita Craig of Chattanooga and Lori Johnson of Sweetwater; son, Spencer Dukes of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jason and Hillary Cooper; three great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Iris and Jack Ingram; as well as several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Funeral service will be 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. John Holland and niece Susan Pilkay officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:45 a.m, Thursday, Ft. Sumter Cemetery for interment at 11 a.m. Family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-8:15 p.m., Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, http://www.mynattfh.com
