LADDONIA - Warren Dwayne Johnson, 69, of Laddonia, died at 5:36 a.m. April 19, 2000, at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, at the Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia. Dr. David Fry will officiate. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery in Center.
Visitation will be tonight, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson was born April 22, 1930, in Caledonia, Minn., to Henry T. and Alma S. Swenson Johnson.
He was married to Leta Bailey on June 14, 1975, in St. James. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Georgia Mae Stull of Harrisonville, Irma Jean Spires of Frankford, and Wanda Ruth Shockley of Laddonia; one sister, Delores Cornforth of LaCrescent, Minn.; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlotte Faye Spears; four brothers, Howard Johnson, Gale Johnson, Lyle Johnson, and Leland Johnson; one sister, Adele Knutson; and one granddaughter, Taylor Leann Shockley.
Mr. Johnson was a retired Vandalia businessman. He and his wife had owned and operated a dry cleaning business for eight years before moving to Laddonia in 1993. He was a member of the Houston Lutheran Church in Houston, Minn. He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of the Vandalia VFW Post #2171.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Pallbearers will be Chris Schuessler, Richard Ware, Billy Spears, Patrick Norris, Travis Stull and Casey Stull.
