Irene D. Craft, 80, of Magee, went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her residence of 34 years. Funeral services and burial were held at 11am, Tuesday at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Kirby and Callie Lipton Kirby both of Henderson, Tn.

She is survived by her husband, Gayther F. Craft, daughter Shirley Craft Yelvington,(Tony) sister, Gertrude Parsons of Memphis, Tn., three granddaughters, Amber Rose McCann of Nashville, Tn., Amanda Nicole Spencer(Harrell) of Southaven, Ms., Ashley Michelle Chafin (Drew) of Olive Branch, Ms.,four great grandchildren, Taytum Jackson McCann of Nashville, Tn., Andrew Franklin Chafin of Olive Branch, Ms., Katelyn Tresa Spencer of Memphis, Tn., and Markayla Breann Spencer of Memphis, Tn.

Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Craft, Ronnie Craft, Craig Fletcher, Jimmie Adcox, Carnell Rankin and Rush Sorey. Services were conducted by Rev. Don Kleeb, Rev. Ken Harrison, and Rev. Roger Lee.

Irene and Gayther met when she was 16 and he was 20 and have been married for 64 years. They had one daughter Shirley and lived in Memphis for 32 years, then came down here to the farm in 1979 after Gayther retired from International Harvester. Together they loved and shared every day caring for their cows and working on their farm. She was an active member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed working at their "Help Center". She was one tough, special Christian lady and will be missed by so many.
