Tom Marrs, 86, retired 30-year manager of the Capitol Theatre in Fayetteville, died Saturday, January 7, 1995, at Glenn Oaks Convalescent Center in Shelbyville. A Lincoln County native, he was son of the late Thomas Isaac and Mary Buchanan Marrs and a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Freeman Marrs. Survivors include two sisters, Aileen Whitsett of Shelbyville and Mable Batson of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services were held yesterday at Higgins Funeral Home with Father Tom McElhinney officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
