He was born March 30, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Alfred and Olga Rodolfi Handley.
Mr. Handley graduated from Lanphier High School and earned a degree in nursing from Lincoln Land Community College. He worked at Pillsbury Mills from 1982-91 and was a registered nurse at St. John’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit and McFarland Mental Health Center.
Survivors: two sons, Taylor and Nicholas Handley, both of Springfield; daughter, Emily Handley of Springfield; mother, Olga of Springfield; six sisters, Marie (husband, Jerry) Bilek of Janesville, Wis., Judy Hawks of Sherman, Bonnie (husband, Brian) Altman and Linda (husband, Dan) Hawks, both of Springfield, and Barbara and Kathy Handley, both of Jacksonville; two brothers, Ed (wife, Becky) and Clint Handley, both of Springfield; two aunts; several nieces, nephews and cousins; former wife, Robyn Handley of Springfield; and companion, Terri Dunn of Springfield.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Tribute Center.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, the Rev. Clint Cook officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
