Peggy A. Holland 75 of East Stroudsburg died on Wednesday February 13, 2013 in the Pocono Medical Center E. Stroudsburg. She was the widow of Roy Holland Jr. who died in 2006. Born in Stroudsburg she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna Mae (Phillips) Thompson.
Peggy was a resident of the East Stroudsburg area for the past 21 years and prior to that she resided in the Peekskill, New York area for several years and her early years were spent the Stroudsburg area. Peggy was a school bus driver in the New York area for 10 years and was also a waitress in New York for many years. She was of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by two daughters Ellen and Claudia both of East Stroudsburg and her very good friend Joe Christman also of E. Stroudsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday February 18, 2013 at 11:00am from the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg with the Rev. Gail H. Kees officiating. Burial will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday February 18, 2013 from 10:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home.
