In 1860 he lived with his parents and four siblings (his brother James got missed by the census taker) in a house in Ward 3 in Allegheny, PA. His father worked as an upholsterer, and owned personal property worth $25.

In 1870 he and his mother and five siblings lived in Ward 2 in Allegheny. She owned real property worth $2000 and personal property worth $150.

In 1880 he and his mother, brother William, and sister Mary and her family lived in a house at 79 Rawley(?) Street in Allegheny. (The street name is hard to read, and the other streets in the area have not helped pinpoint the location in this case.) He was listed as Phillip, and worked as a salesman in a carpet store.

In 1900 he and his wife, their two children, and her parents lived in a place they were renting in Ward 4 in Chicago, IL. He worked as a dyer cleaner.

In 1910 he and Martha, their two children, two servants, and her father lived in a house they owned, mortgage free, in Ward 3 in Chicago. He worked doing cleaning and dying.

In 1920 he and his two daughters and a servant lived in a place they were renting on Drexel Boulevard in Chicago.

In 1930 just he and a servant lived in a place they were renting at 4616 Drexel Boulevard. He worked as a merchant, with a cleaning business.

He was the only one in his family to be supportive of his niece, Lois Weber, the Hollywood movie director. She married her first husband in David's house, and their infant daughter (born and died in 1910) is likely buried somewhere in the vicinity.
