On Thursday, April 18, 2013 of Burke, VA. Beloved husband of Yoonhee Edwards. Son of Robert D. and SuAnn Edwards. Loving father of Daniel and Nicholas Edwards. Brother of Robert Edwards, Amanda (Scott) Sarafian and the late Dale Edwards. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church, 8750 Pohick Rd. Springfield, VA. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund that is being established for the children.

48, a resident of Burke, Virginia passed away on April 18, 2013. He was born on October 2, 1964 in San Diego, CA and was the son of Rev. Robert and SuAnn Edwards.
He was a 1982 graduate of Redlands High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and a Master's Degree from the Naval Graduate School in Monterey, CA. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in Boston's Old North Church in June of 1988.
He retired from the Army in February, 2012 after 22 years of service that included tours of duty in Korea, Germany, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.
He was stationed at the Pentagon on 9/11. After his retirement he became a civilian employee of the Department of the Army.
He is survived by his wife Yoonhee and two sons Daniel and Nicholas of Burke, VA. His parents and brother Robert of New Market, VA and a sister Amanda Sarafian and her husband Scott Sarafian and their children Gregory and Noelle of Oradell, NJ. He was predeceased by a sister Dale Edwards in December of 2012.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Springfield, VA on Tuesday, April 23rd and burial will be at the Arlington National Cemetery later in the summer.
