Vera Edora Barnett Weaver, 73, passed away on April 11, 1996 in Salt Lake City.

Born in Garland, Utah on August 12, 1922 to James and Clara Olivia (Bunderson) Barnett.Vera was a sweet and giving person. As an active member of the LDS Church, she served many callings, including Primary teacher and secretary for 15 years, Young Women's teacher, Ward Librarian, 4-H Leader, visiting teacher and craft leader in Ensign Stake in Salt Lake City. She also served as the Gospel Doctrine teacher in the Temple View Branch. She was proud of her pioneer heritage, and Captain of her Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Camp for many years. She spent many hours volunteering at the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, as well as over 3000 volunteer hours at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Vera was a very loving person, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survived by her daughter, Sherry Morris, Sherry's husband, Alan Morris, grandchildren, Sandra (Mark) Mamulski, Pamela (Steve) Colbert, Richard (Anna) Morris, Tamara (Don) Trane, and David Morris, two precious great-granddaughters, Emily Colbert and Gabrielle Morris, her sister, Emma Fowlks, brothers, Olean, Heber, and Victor Barnett. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ellen Evanson and Clara Geneve Pitcher, brothers, William and Lyman Barnett.

Funeral services will be held at Colonial Mortuary, 2128 South State, Tuesday, April 16, 1996, 11 a.m. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South. ~ Desert News April 14,1996
