Cynthia Carol Pierce, 56, of Paducah passed away at her home Monday morning after a long battle with cancer.
Cyndi was a member of the Houser Grove Church of Christ and was employed by the Kentucky Department of Human Services as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. She worked at Lourdes Hospital for many years in the Laboratory. Cyndi held membership in the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She was a graduate of Lone Oak High School in 1970 and held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Murray State University.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Peyton Pierce; two brothers, Mark D. Pierce and wife Tammie, and Timothy K. Pierce and wife Karla; one niece, Lynne Pierce Coleman (Scott); three nephews, Matt E. Pierce (Jessica) and Nathan H. Pierce and Kent P. Pierce; and one great-niece, Clare E. Coleman. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard E. Pierce.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Brother Harvey Elder officiating. Burial will follow at the Houser Grove Cemetery.
Family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2008, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home
