Mr. Bernard A. "Buck'' Reese, age 82, died Friday, April 5, 2013 in the W. S. Hundley Annex.
Mr. Reese was the parts manager for F. E. Watkins Motor Company and a Korean War Army veteran.
Mr. Reese is survived by his wife, Allene P. Reese of South Hill; his daughter, Lisa Ann Reese also of South Hill; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald D. and Sheila Reese of Chester; five sisters: Nora Hoyle of Chase City, Alma Baird of Orlando, Fla., Thelma Wood of Chase City, Katherine Weinstein of Orlando, Fla., and Carolyn Holland of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers: E. B. Reese of South Hill, Otis Reese of Orlando, Fla., and Randolph Reese of Augusta, Ga., and his grandson, Jason A. Reese.
Mr. Reese was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Thorpe.
A funeral service was conducted on Monday, April 8 at 1 p.m. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory with interment following in Crestview Memorial Park with full American Legion Post 79 Military Honors. The family received friends on Sunday, April 7 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allene P. Reese fund at the W. S. Hundley Annex.
