A FORMER RESIDENT Of Ayr Dies in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba

Word was received here Saturday of the death of a former resident of Ayr, Robt. Watson, of Portage la Prairie, who died on Tuesday, Nov 11th in his 88" year. Deceased was a brother of the late John Watson, and will be well remembered by a number of the older residents of the village. Born in Scotland, he came to Canada with his wife when a young man and settled in this district. For a number of years he was foreman of the John Watson Manufacturing plant, and about twenty-five years ago moved to Portage la Prairie. The last visit he made to Ayr was at the time of the Old Boys' Reunion, ten or twelve years ago. Beside his widow, he is survived by the following family, who reside in different parts of the West: Archibald, Robert P., John, Charles, Mrs. Edward Morton, Mrs. Fisher, and Elizabeth at home. Three nephews and two nieces reside in Ayr; they are James G., John G., Alfred E., Elizabeth D. and Mary U.
