Benjamin L. Baldwin born March 3, 1930 age 83, went home to be with his Savior, Saturday, April 20, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents: DeWitt Clinton Baldwin and Katherine Ladd Baldwin; his brothers: DeWitt Clinton Baldwin III, Elvans Baldwin, Stanford Baldwin, Frank Baldwin, sister, Frances Baldwin, and grandsons: Benjamin LeGrand Baldwin III, and Travis Lee Baldwin.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol George Baldwin, children: Benjamin L. (Janice) Baldwin, Jr. , Jan Baldwin (Terry) Sullivan, and John Elwood (Cyndee) Baldwin; 8 grandchildren: Lance Baldwin, Aaron Baldwin, Melissa (Christopher) Gordon, Lee (Whitney) Sullivan, Adam (Ashla) Sullivan, Ashleigh (Drew) Barkley, Caroline (Craig) Brown, Janna (Chase) Schmidt; one great-grandaughter, Margaret Leigh Barkley; brothers: Earl (Jeanie) Baldwin, Bill (Gwen) Baldwin, Howard Baldwin, and Fred Baldwin, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He served in The United States Marine Corps with active duty in Korea. He was awarded a Korean Service Medal, Letter of Commendation Medal with Combat V and 3 Purple Hearts. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Full Military Honors were observed. The Rev. A.B. Sawyer officiated.
