William A. Best, 88, of Ambridge, died Friday, April 19, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital. Born Oct. 6, 1924, in Brookville, PA, he was a son of the late Guy A. and Nulu M. Wayland Best. He was retired from U.S. Steel and was a member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and was a U.S. Army Air Force World War II veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Best Ramsey, in 2011; his second wife, Mary Dacko Best, Nov. 19, 2001; one son, William A. Best; one daughter, Marie Dacko Homjak; two brothers, James and Franklin Best; one sister, Martha Zukowski
