William David Chipps, 91, son of Ellis B. and Amanda Cartmill Chipps, was born near Spickard, Mo., on Feb. 11, 1873, and died April 14 at his home in Raymondville. He had been ill for about three months. He was a stock and grain farmer at Half Rock, Mo., until he moved to Raymondville about four years ago.
He was a member of the Baptist Church at Half Rock.
He was united in marriage to Nona Cooper on May 10, 1896.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wade and Cody, both of Raymondville; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 17, at the Baptist Church in Half Rock with Mrs. Sadie Miles officiating.
Burial was in Half Rock Cemetery under the direction of Payne Funeral Home of Gault [Galt - Ed.]
