Seven Who Died in Service Honored at Sunday Ceremony
A Veterans Day program that featured the unveiling of a monument honoring seven veterans of World Wars I and II from the Bend area took place at Bend Sunday afternoon.
Among those honored were Pvt. John Mac Alexander, U.S. Army, who died on February 19, 1945, in the Philippines, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander.
