Minnie Myrtle Gratton, daughter of Jonas and Sarah Cockings Heath, was born in the town of Waldwick on September 21, 1879.

She was reared in the Waldwick community and on March 19, 1902 was united in marriage with Joseph Henry Gratton. They started housekeeping on what was known as the John Skinner farm where they lived until 1904 when they moved to the Charlie Davis farm.

Mrs. Gratton's husband preceded her in death, passing away January 27, 1940, after which she moved to Mineral Point.

Mrs Gratton passed away at the Dodgeville General Hospital on Saturday, December 9, 1950.

Those left to mourn are several cousins, numerous other distant relatives, besides a host of friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 11 at 2:00pm, at the Waldwick Methodist church. Rev. D. Long, Montfort, former pastor at Waldwick, officiated. Interment took place in Waldwick cemetery.
