A private family memorial service for Art A Ahlbrandt, 62, of rural Bridgeport, who died October 1, 1991, at his home, will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. Cremation was at Cheyenne, Wyo.

He was born April 20, 1929 at Gering, Neb. to Herman and Catherine (Ehrlich) Ahlbrandt. He received his early education and graduated from the Veteran, Wyoming schools. He also attended Barnes Business College in Colorado. He married Laverne Lebsack February 26, 1950 at Yoder, Wyoming, and they made their home in Veteran. They moved to Bridgeport, Neb. in 1965 where he was involved with farming, and also was a manager for the Puregrow Chemical Co. at Morrill. He started as an Amoco agent, but built his own successful business in 1980. He lived in Bridgeport for 25 years.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Morrill.
Survivors include his wife; daughters Sharon Jacobson of Gering, Neb, Ardith Starostka of Columbus, Neb, and Traci Ahlbrandt of Omaha; mother Catherine of Torrington, Wyoming; Brothers Woodrow of Veteran, Roland of Riverton, Wyoming, and Calvin of Columbia, MO; sister Helen Fry of Torrington; and four grand-daughters.
He was precceded in death by his father.
