Mary Tansey VanDyke, 74, Enjoyed Flower Gardening, Plants and Sewing

Mary Tansey VanDyke, age 74, formerly of Vermilion, died Thursday, October 17, 2002 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness. She was born February 1, 1928 in Glasgow, Kentucky and had lived in Lorain for the past year. She had lived in Florida since 1979, having also lived in Illinois and Vermilion. She worked as a dietitian for the Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, Florida, for 18 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, plants and sewing. Survivors include her sons, David Tansey of Wakeman, Edward Tansey of Wakeman, and Thomas Tansey of Vermilion, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters Aileen Ritter, Christine Russell and Ella Bush and brother Richard Bush. Friends may call Saturday, October 19, 2002 from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Graveside services will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
