Daily Democrat, Clinton MO - Ray E. Bunch was born March 21, 1917, in Mt. Zion, the son of William David and Mary (Snyder) Bunch. He passed away Saturday, December 5, 1992, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. Ray lived in the west for many years and moved to Kansas City in 1964, then moved to Independence in 1979. He worked for many years laying hardwood floors. He also worked for the Vendo Company until 1977. After his retirement, he moved to Clinton, where he remained until the time of his death. Mr. Bunch was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Heroine Lodge No. 104 AF&AM. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Bunch, of the home; a son, Jerry Bunch of Lake View, Or.; five grandchildren; four sisters, Opal Nichols, Anna Horn and Loraine Scott, all of Clinton, Irene Jones of Fresno, Ca.; two brothers, John Bunch of Lincoln, and Gene Bunch of Warsaw; nieces, Mary Harper, Castle Rock, Colo., Pat Steffen, Naturita, Colo., Deanna Bombardier, Truth or Consequences, N.M., Edwina Halstead of California, Winnie Tuckness, Springfield, and Pauline Silvers, Warrensburg; nephews, James Nichols, Lowry City, John Nichols, Frank Nichols and Dale Nichols, Clinton, Donald Minich, Clinton, Larry Jones, Aptos, Ca., Dr. David Jones, Ashland, Or., Fred Bunch, Clinton, and Bill Bunch, Warsaw; five grandchildren, Jerlynn, Cynthia, Jerry Jr., Brandy and Clint; and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Richelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Bunch, a brother Leo Bunch, and a sister Winifred Jones. Funeral services were held at Tuesday, December 8, 1992, at Consalus Chapel. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.
