Irma "Joyce" O'Neal, 71, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday April 18, 2013 at Monroe Hospital. She was born July 30, 1941 in Monroe County and was the daughter of Estis Browning and Charlotte (Grubb) Brown. Joyce was a graduate of Bloomington High School and worked for over 40 years as a Payroll Clerk at Indiana University. She was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Temple.

Survivors include her husband Charles O'Neal of Bloomington, daughter and son-in-law Charlene and Forrest Evans of Lafayette, two sisters and their husbands Jennette and Mick Mitchell and Irene and David Wisley, and one brother and his wife Isaac and Darlene Browning all of Bloomington. She is also survived by several step-sisters, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Ira Curtis Browning, Ivan Leslie Browning, and Irvin Dale Browning, and her step-father Price Brown. Services will be 1:00 pm Monday April 22, 2013 at the Shiloh Pentecostal Temple, 77 West Smithville Road, Bloomington. Rev Russell Elkins and Rev. Myron Young will conduct the service and burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 21, 2013 from 2-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, and on Monday from 12:00 pm until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
