Audrey Farris Montgomery, 83, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lathen S. Montgomery; her parents, Charlie W. Farris and Vernie McGough Farris of Eldridge.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Montgomery Ayers and Myra Montgomery Stafford and her husband, Earl Stafford; three grandchildren, Christopher Ayers, Trey Stafford and Audrey Beth Stafford; one brother, Merle Farris of Lakeland, Fla., and his wife, Shirley Farris; two sisters, Ramie Burton of Tuscumbia, and Yvonne McMickin of Forestdale; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Merle Farris, Tom Burton and George Barrera will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Burton, Philip Burton, Tom Burton, Ken McMickin, Christopher Ayers, Earl Stafford and Danny McMickin. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Hudson and Kevin McMickin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Walker County Humane Society.
