AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lizzie Ruth Sims Walker entered into rest Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the University Hospital. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Vernon-Key Memorial Chapel, Beulah Grove with Rev. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. She was a native of Maxeys, GA; a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church where she served in the Mission Ministry, employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital for 22 years and was an Avon Lady. Survivors are two daughters, Jacquelyn Walker, Columbus, GA and Sudie Walker, Augusta; 4 grandchildren, Shannon Stevenson, North Augusta, SC, Keri (Sean) Parker Berry, Lewisville, TX, Brent Obleton and Brian Stevenson, Marietta, GA; sister. Cleo (James) Winfrey, Atlanta, GA; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Walker to the Memorial Ministry of Beulah Grove Baptist Church.
