(Trumbull) Reasoner

1921-2013

Jean Marie (Trumbull) Reasoner, 91, of Pensacola passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 while in the care of Covenant Hospice at West Florida Hospital.

She was born Dec. 24, 1921 at the Trumbull family farm in Etna, IN and lived in northern Indiana, until moving to Pensacola with her husband in 1987.

She graduated from Columbia City High School and received degrees from Manchester College and St. Francis College. She taught elementary school for 30 years, was a member of ISTA, 4-H Club, Lady Lions Club, Home Economics Club, and active at her church.

After moving to Pensacola, she became a member of the Escambia County Master Gardeners (awards recipient), Day Lily Garden Club, Scenic Heights Baptist Church,

Sunday & Bible School teacher and choir member. As a volunteer, she cared for newborns at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, helped international (ESL) students at

PJC, and taught responsible pet ownership workshops for Escambia County Schools.

She was always at the center of activity-usually leading the way. Full of energy and quick to smile, she loved people, music, and enjoyed a "chuckle" or laugh-even at her own expense. She cherished her family and was the kindest, most giving and caring Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma to us all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Reasoner; parents, Willis & Edith (Beaucha) Trumbull; a brother, Lewis and a sister Arlis.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Cheryl Thayer (Sonny) of Ohio, Anita Reasoner-Meyer (Ray) of Indiana, Lisa Reasoner of Florida, and 3 sons; Barry Reasoner (Beth) of Florida, David Reasoner (Michelle) of Pensacola and Eric Reasoner of Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren; Peter, Sam, Benji (Newman) Thayer, James H.
