Big Stone Gap VA -Charles "Anthony" Steele Wilder , 29, went to be with Jesus on( Thursday, April 18,2013).
Anthony was a gentle soul who touched many lives both in person and online as "Wildman." He enjoyed tinkering in electronics and sound engineering. Anthony graduated with the Powell Valley High School class of 2002. He was a member of Legion Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Wilder, his maternal grandparents Don and Bobbie Clarkston, and his paternal grandfather Charles Wilder.
He is survived by his mother Mary Ann Wilder, special friend Misty Hughes, grandmother Dora Ann Sumpter, and a host of other very close family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21, at Holding Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A service celebrating his life will be held following the visitation, at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Beth Tipton and Rev. David Gibson officiating.
The graveside burial will follow on Monday, April 22, at the Treadway Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Herbert Clarkston, Doug Gibson, Brian Crabtree, Michael Thompson, Tosh Barnette, Daniel Maddox, Robert Wilder II, and Tommy Hylton. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in honor of Anthony's life to: The Health Wagon, P.O. Box 709, Clintwood, VA 24228.
