Arthur John Schneider, s. of George M. Schneider and Annie Elizabeth (Unberwrist?), b. Mar. 14, 1884 at Hazleton, Penn. He d. Nov. 5, 1938 at Philadelphia. In the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census Arthur was enumerated as a factory machinist. In his Sept. 1918 W.W.I draft registration he was a machinist employed by Moore & White Company and physically identified as having a small left leg.
On May 1, 1909 at Philadelphia, Arthur m. Helen Craft Blauvelt, eldest child of William Stanley Blauvelt and Emma Craft, b. Mar. 31, 1887 at Philadelphia, Penn. They had three known children b. at Philadelphia, but only two reached maturity to leave descendants:
• i. A stillborn daughter b. and d. Nov. 26, 1909.
• ii. Harold Irwin Schneider, b. Aug. 28, 1912, d. in Dec. 1986 at Philadelphia; m. Jan. 18, 1936 Mary J. "May" Clark, b. May 19, 1912 and d. Feb. 2, 2001. They had two known children, both sons, one who was living in 2013.
• iii. Charles Wilbur Schneider, b. Apr. 27, 1916, d. Oct. 25, 2004 at Ferndale, Penn.; m. Aug. 26, 1944, Alice Walker, b. Sept. 27, 1912 and d. June 26, 2005 at Jenkintown, Penn. One known child of the family.
