She was born on December 29, 1930 in Muncie the daughter of Thomas E. and Mary A. (Dugan) Delaney and attended Muncie schools.
Before starting her family, she worked as a nurse's aid at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, and music. Her greatest loves were God and her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, as she was everyone's "grandma".
Surviving are six children, Jennifer Privett (husband, Louis), Joyce Coker, Charles Coker (wife, Rhonda), Jane Coker-Salyer, Judy Mingus, and Michael Coker (wife, Sue); ten grandchildren, Johnetta Jackson (husband, Steve), Chris Franklin (wife, Sandy), Millie Schermerhorn (husband, Scott), Maimi Isaacs (husband, Dave), Todd Billiter (wife, Christy), Erica Jones (husband, Billy), Charles Coker (companion, Nicole), Katie Mingus, Michael Coker, Jr., and Ashley Coker; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Rowlette (husband, Marshall) and Patricia Tankersly (husband, John); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert S. Coker; and five siblings.
Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.
