Mr. Archie Karl Kinser, 63, of Leland, N.C., died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Supply, N.C. Sister Elizabeth Cain officiated and military honors were performed.

Mr. Kinser was born Jan. 12, 1943, in Charleston, W.Va., son of Violet Faye Schaeffer Kinser and the late Woodrow Ray Kinser.

Mr. Kinser was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of VFW Post #844 in Williamsport, Pa., where he was also a member of the Williamsport Emergency Management Agency. Archie had a love for life, but above all, he loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Jeannette Allen Kinser of the home; sons, Karl Kinser and wife, Melanie, of White Deer, Pa., Keith Kinser and wife, Donnette, of Watsontown, Pa., Craig Kinser and wife, Kim, of Bolivia, N.C., Ryan Kinser of Williamsport, Pa.; daughters, Tina Kinser of Florida, Krissi Lehman and husband, Douglas, of Leland, N.C., Lacy Kinser and Crystal Kinser, both at home; brother, Ray Kinser and wife, Nancy, of West Virginia; sisters, Jeannie Cooper and husband, Doug, of West Virginia, and Judy Stover of West Virginia; and nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Archie's memory, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
