Helen Louise Jones Alderman of Huntsville, AL died Tuesday, April 16, at the age of 94. She was born November 4, 1918, in Itta Bena, Mississippi, to William C. and Inez Dean Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Rodney Alderman; two sisters, Anna Elizabeth Folkner and Juanita Ellis, and by her brother, Robert Henry Jones. 
Originally from Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Alderman moved to Huntsville in the late seventies. She was a member of the Whitesburg Baptist Church. 
Survivors include her sister, Geneva Jones Tate; two daughters, Ann Thomason of Huntsville and Nancy Ball of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Sharon Herrera, Brian Thomason and Andrew Thomason; and seven great-grandchildren, Dimitri Herrera, Reed Thomason, Dominic Herrera, Logan Thomason, Darwin Herrera, Ella Thomason, and Katherine Anne Herrera. 
You may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, at Valhalla Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Valhalla Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating. Entombment will follow at Faith Memorial Park in Madison. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE of your choice.
