Michael Wayne Larkins was the best brother one could have and befriended so many people. I love and miss him very much. He was very proud of being a U.S. Marine and loved his country and family very much.

The Ledger

Mr. Michael "Mike" Wayne Larkins of Lakeland died of emphysema Sunday (March 20, 2005) at home. He was 56.
Born in Cairo, Ill., on May 5, 1948, he came to Lakeland from Houston in 1978. He was a retired mailroom supervisor and forklift operator for The Ledger. He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Mr. Larkins is survived by his sons, Michael Wayne Larkins Jr., Scott Larkins, Anthony Brett Larkins, Fort Worth; daughters, Heather D. Grazier, Winter Haven, Leslie Larkins; sister, Susie Larkins Dowell, Lakeland; brother, Bruce Larkins, Centerville, Ohio; one grandchild.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Florida National Cemetery.
