NORMAN PARK — Stephen Darius St. John, 87, of Norman Park, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at his home.
Graveside rites will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating.
Born Nov. 29, 1925, in Callahan, Fla., he was the son of the late Vincent St. John and Mildred Heath St. John. He served in the United States Army and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a retired truck driver and was of the
Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jeanette Cartwright St. John; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his companion of 16 years, Dorothy Futch of Norman Park; one son, Caleb St. John of Jacksonville, Fla.; a special daughter, Martha Hembree of Moultrie; two sisters, Ruth Lamb of Southern Pines, N.C., and Alice Gibbs of St. Augustine, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
