Vermilion-Dale Music, age 58 years and a resident of Vermilion, died Wednesday September 28, 2011 at Metro health, Cleveland, after a sudden illness. Dale was born January 2, 1953 in Oxford, England to Jack Music and Doreen (Nee Maynard) Ashbolt. He was a 1971 graduate of Elyria High School. For several years Dale was a construction worker and in 1976 enlisted in the U.S. Army. His military tour was served in Germany, and he returned to Ohio after being discharged in 1978. From 1978-1996 Dale was employed at U.S. Steel Corporation, Lorain, where he was an iron worker. During his lifetime, Dale was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his two children; Erin Music Harris of Kansas City, Mo., and Ryan S. (wife, Pinar) Music of Germany, his mother Doreen Ashbolt of Florida, a sister Linda Roof of Florida; grandson Dylan Music and his longtime companion Julia Ebel of Vermilion.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst. Military rites will be conducted by the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard.
