Stanley Lichniak, 70, of Cleveland, died Monday at Lakewood Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, he was a resident of Brunswick and Cleveland most of his life.
Mr. Lichniak retired five years ago as a commercial roofer after 35 years of employment with Roofer Union Local 44.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen (nee Ryan), to whom he was married 47 years; sons, Ronald A. of Cleveland, and David M. of Elyria; four grandchildren; brothers, John of Brunswick, , Vincent and Richard, all of Parma, Edward of Cleveland, and Joe of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; and a sister, Cecelia Specht of Desert Hot Springs.
Friends will be received Thursday 3-8 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.
Mass will be Friday 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 3114 Scranton Rd., Cleveland. The Rev. Dennis O'Grady will be the celebrant.
Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Lawrence Martello, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst, at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
