Christine Bernice Garner Matthews, 86, of Villa Rica died Wednesday, June 25, 2008.
Mrs. Matthews was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Wiley Garner and the late Louella Black Garner. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Matthews; daughter and son in-law, Lynn and Mike Storey of Villa Rica; son, Barry Matthews of Villa Rica; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 27, at 1 p.m. at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Todd Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica.
