Thomas Nattrass
Hello Glenda, I can't thank you enough for posting the cemetery listing for Auburn Hospital. My great grandfather's brother Thomas Nattrass is buried there. This resolves a 100+ family mystery about his final remains. He was a gold miner in Placer who came from Allendale, Northumberland, England in 1849 (the immigration and census records you posted are correct) and went west with gold fever. Even though his family made inquires at the time, no trace of him was found. It is a relief to know that he died in a hospital and not down a mine shaft. I have been searching for him for many years. Can you tell me the source material that you are working off of? Many thanks. Laurel Nattress
