Max H. (Joe) Dalton, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at his home on April 23, 2012. Joe was born September 23, 1925 in Ogden, Utah. He was the son of Charles and Martha Bingham Dalton. He grew up on a farm in West Point, Utah.
He enlisted in the Navy and served from 1944 to 1946 with part of that time spent aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Bennington. After an honorable discharge from the Navy he was employed at Hill Air Force Base where he worked for 33 years.
Joe married Beverly Morby on August 19, 1950 in Coalville, Utah. They had been married for 61 years. They raised two daughters, Susan and Jolene and spent many happy years as a family.
After retiring from Hill Air Force Base, he started Dalton Bookkeeping Services with his wife, Beverly. He volunteered for many years preparing income taxes for the Senior Citizens.
Joe will be remembered for his kindness, his work ethic, his garden and his love for his wife and family. He was thrilled to include Michael and Doug as his sons-in-laws. Joe was extremely supporter of his grandchildren. He spent many hours attending sporting events, music recitals, award ceremonies and weddings. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, his daughter and son-in-law Michael Dean, his daughter and son-in-law Jolene and Doug Gailey, his grandchildren Christopher and Jennifer Dean, Amber and Chris Fritz, Joshua Gailey and Justine Gailey and his great-grandchildren, Makayla Martinez and Mason Dean.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Wayne and Darrell.
