Mary Etta Jenkins, 73, of Shenandoah Junction, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in the Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1939, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Waldo David and Dorothy Elizabeth Schroyer Ridenour.
She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.
She worked as a nurse's aide at the Farrenney Keedy Nursing Home.
Mary is survived by two sons, Mark Shank and wife, Kristy, of Lakeland, Fla., and Eric Shank, of Shenandoah Junction; one daughter, Brenda Jenkins and husband, Mike, of Shenandoah Junction; five brothers, David Ridenour, of Kentucky, Charles, Robert and James Ridenour, all of Hagerstown, Md., and Paul Ridenour, of Greencastle, Pa.; one sister, Bertha "Patty" Hollingshead, of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, David, Robert and Richard Shank; and one sister, Helen Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Jefferson Chapel with the Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Interment will be in the Edge Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
